The names of scores
of Michigan’s outstanding, award-winning small businesses were
announced today in
Lansing. Among the winners was Molly’s
Bistro of Midland for
the Main Street USA Award: (contact
Brian or Molly
McFadden, 989.832.7170.) Each of the 12 regions of the Michigan Small
Business & Technology Development Center internally
nominates a small business they have been assisting for a minimum of one
year. The award goes to the nominee who has best
contributed to the growth and vitality of the Michigan economy, as
demonstrated by their management of growth, improved
profitability, and the creation of jobs.
Molly’s
Bistro and other firms will be honored April 12 as the state’s major
business organizations and agencies collaborate for the
third annual “Michigan Celebrates Small Business” event. The
cooperative effort – which names the Michigan 50 Companies to
Watch, Innovation of the Year and many other awards – will be hosted
by the Edward Lowe Foundation, Michigan Economic
Development Corporation, Michigan Small Business & Technology
Development Center, Small Business Association of Michigan
and the U.S. Small Business Administration/Michigan.
